In this overview, we explore the electroanalytical determination of theophylline. Theophylline finds use as a bronchodilator for treating diseases such asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). There is need to measure concentration theophylline in pharmaceuticals QA/QC purposes well plasma samples ensure doses are at correct therapeutic levels. If levels deviate from (10–20 µg/mL asthma), then patients can experience adverse effects. As such, there desire progress traditional laboratory based techniques portable rapid testing. review endeavours directed development sensors, noting current future trends.
